Elecnor has assigned Gruponet to carry out the installation, testing and start-up of the TETRA coverage extension system in the following tunnels of the Pedralba-Vilariño sub-section of the AVE in Galicia: La Canda, Cañizo and Espiño.

It is a network that captures the TETRA signal from outside the tunnels, amplifies it and injects it inside them by means of a DAS system (distributed antenna system) composed of Master Stations and redundant configuration and internal slave repeaters with their systems. radiants interconnected by fiber optics. Quality interior coverage is ensured with the installation of radiant cable throughout the tunnels and antennas for the transverse galleries.

The project includes the installation of the complete system, including the supply of coaxial cables and connectors:
- 5 collection systems made up of Master Stations and their respective radiating systems.
- 15 TETRA repeaters interconnected with fiber optic master stations
- 16 Km of 1 + 5/8 ”leaky cable to cover the Espiño tunnel
- 33 antennas for tunnels coverage.
