Nokia awards Gruponet GSMR coverage on the Galician AVE
Continuing with the vocation of consolidating our leadership in this type of facilities, Gruponet has begun the work of deploying the ADIF GSMR network in the tunnels of the AVE Zamora-Orense section, for our client Nokia.
It is a completely redundant network that is very demanding in terms of safety and quality, in which we install Base Stations, remote heads and specific radiating systems.:
- More than 40 GSMR Base Stations
- 89 repeaters (remote heads interconnected with the BSs by optical fiber)
- More than 20Km of 1 + 5/8 ”leaky cable to cover the longest tunnels
- 360 antennas for outdoor coverage and short tunnels.
A solution based on the use of GSMR remote heads with radiant cable was adopted for the Requejo, Padornelo, La Canda, Hedroso and Lubian tunnels.
For the rest of the tunnels, a solution based on GSMR remote heads combined with antennas has been adopted.
The outdoor areas have been covered with 40 additional base stations and repeaters with radiating systems on masts or towers.
